Hillside-Jennings Apartments offer on-campus convenience in a beautiful setting on the south side of the University of Northern Iowa campus. Affordable housing with the full support of maintenance staff, apartments management staff and the residence life team make this a great choice for your UNI home. One- and two-bedroom apartments and two-bedroom townhouses are available.

All kitchens are equipped with an electric stove and a refrigerator. Bathrooms have a tub/shower unit, sink, toilet and medicine cabinet. Floors are vinyl tiled. Mini-blinds are in all units. Apartments are not furnished. View Hillside-Jennings floor plans.

Children residing with their parents will attend Southdale Elementary School, Peet Junior High School or Cedar Falls High School. Bus transportation is provided. For more information, contact the Cedar Falls Community School District at (319) 553-3000.


Visit our rates page to view current rates. Rent includes utilities, cable, internet and laundry. Contracts are based on the academic year (10 months, August - May) with the option to remain over the summer and renew for a 12-month contract.

To Apply

NEW RESIDENTS: Students who do not currently reside at Hillside-Jennings Apartments should complete an application. There is a $25 non-refundable application fee. A prepayment of $300 is required when the student accepts an offered apartment. If the student cancels their application after accepting an apartment offer, the prepayment will be forfeited.

CURRENT RESIDENTS: Students wishing to return to their apartment for the following academic year should recontract for their space within the Housing & Dining Contract during recontracting which begins mid-fall semester. Students not planning to return for the following academic year should complete an Intent to Vacate form.
