Applications for the RA position will be available in early October.
The application is due on Friday, December 6 at 12:00 PM. If you are studying abroad in the Spring 2020 semester, please submit your application by Monday, November 18. Study abroad applicants will be interviewed in early December.
Applications will be reviewed over Winter Break and interview offers will be made the week of January 20, 2020. Interview scheduling will close approximately January 31.
Interviews will take place on Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15, 2020. Candidates will be scheduled for one two-hour interview on one of the days, which will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. No other interview times are available.
Candidates will be notified of their placement status on Monday, March 2 at 4:30 PM by a physical letter placed in their residence hall mailbox. Off-campus candidates will be able to pick up their letters at the Department of Residence main office in Redeker Center at 4:00 PM.

For the short answer essays, applicants should prepare an essay for EACH of the following questions. Essays should be between 600 characters (about 250 words or half a page) and 1,200 characters (about 500 words or one page):
- Tell us about a time you reached out to include someone in your community, social circle, friend group, or organization. What did you do and what was the result?
- Describe how you collaborate and communicate effectively and respectfully within the context of varying beliefs, behaviors, and backgrounds.
- Tell us about a time you had to repair a relationship with another person. What did you learn from that experience?
We encourage candidates to prepare their essays beforehand to streamline their application process. As a reminder, you should submit one 600-1200 character (approximately 250 to 500 words) essay for each of the questions for a total of three separate short essays.
